Two Days Apart
A ticket sold for this night and the sheet that advertised it both print Sunday, December 8; one chronology prints that date and the other prints the same room and the same note under December 10. Of the show itself one keeps three song titles, and both keep an account of a climb.

No separate printed encore line; this does not prove no encore occurred. Any inline encore description remains in its printed position.
Retain incomplete/partial/ellipsis qualifiers. Order is printed order only; a no-order qualifier prevents performance-order inference.

the two chronologies disagree on this night; each list stays attributed and unmerged
On Sunday, December 8, 1991, Pearl Jam played the City Coliseum in Austin, Texas, supporting the Red Hot Chili Peppers, with the Smashing Pumpkins also on the bill. That is the date the Pearl Jam Concert Chronology prints, and the date on the ticket sold for the night and on the sheet that advertised it. Five Horizons prints the same room and the same city under December 10, with a figure of 2,000 and no set list. Both carry the same account of the night in almost the same words, and it is of a climb.
The show
Which Date It Was
In the Pearl Jam Concert Chronology's listing this is the night after the Unicorn in Houston, which is told in Admit One This Date Only. Read on its own, neither list contradicts itself: the Pearl Jam Concert Chronology runs Houston on the 7th and Austin on the 8th, Five Horizons Houston on the 7th and 8th and Austin on the 10th. The dates collide only in the merge. Two things printed before the night give the same day: a ticket sold for it and a sheet advertising three Texas cities. Five Horizons links the same sheet from its December 10 entry, and the Pearl Jam Concert Chronology hangs it under three December dates.
The ticket carries a four-figure serial, 1753, at its head and again at its foot. It sets out the headings SEC, ROW and SEAT twice over and prints GEN. ADM. under both. Under a line reading DEC 8, 1991 it sets the headliners' name alone between rows of stars, and names neither of the other two bands. Then the room as AUSTIN COLISEUM, then AUSTIN, TX, then SUNDAY, DEC. 8, 1991, 7:30 PM, and a row of stars under that. On a coloured band near the foot, NO REFUND and NO EXCHANGE stand either side of PRICE, with $19.50 on the white beneath.
At the foot of the sheet that advertised the three Texas nights its Austin line reads AUSTIN SUN DEC 8 CITY COLISEUM, centred under the other two cities. No year is printed on the sheet, and the Pearl Jam Concert Chronology's caption on it credits the artist by name. The room is printed in three forms: City Coliseum in both chronologies, CITY COLISEUM on the sheet, and AUSTIN COLISEUM on the ticket.
The Performance
The Pearl Jam Concert Chronology marks its set list incomplete and prints three titles: "Wash," "Even Flow" and "Leash." Five Horizons prints no set for the night and gives a figure of 2,000 in its place; beyond those three titles neither entry records what was played. What both keep is the climb during "Even Flow." Eddie Vedder went up the wall beside the stage, along the rafter to the middle of it above the crowd, and came back down a rope; security, both entries say, could not reach him.
The Next Step
Both chronologies put the band in Dallas on December 11, at the Bronco Bowl and then at Trees in the same evening; the first of those is told in Row D in Two Archives. Between the two dates they print nothing else: the Pearl Jam Concert Chronology has no entry on December 9 or December 10, and Five Horizons has none on December 9.

What the Record Preserves
The two chronologies agree about the room, the city, the bill and the climb, and they do not agree about the day. Five Horizons also lists the Vatican in Houston on December 8, a room the other chronology places on October 11, and the two things printed for December 8 both name Austin.
What the record preserves of the City Coliseum is a stub with a serial on it twice, a sheet advertising three cities, three titles under an incomplete heading, and a singer in the rafters. Two documents printed for the night give Sunday, December 8; one chronology gives that date and the other gives the same room two days later.
