What this site collects, and what it does not.

What these pages collect

The public pages of PJ Music Factory (the home page, concerts, albums, the band, the blog, merch and the book) do not ask for your name or any other personal details, and they have no accounts. Their one form is the book notification signup described below, which asks for an email address only if you choose to use it.

Their own code sets no cookies. The homepage carries the verification tag described below, and pages with the eBay box load eBay's script.

Book notification list

If you ask to be told when the Pearl Jam concert book is available, the site stores your email address, the interests and years you pick, whether you also ticked the separate box for other updates, the wording and version of the consent you gave, the page you signed up from, and when you signed up, confirmed or unsubscribed. The record is kept in Google Cloud Firestore, in the site's own Google Cloud project, and your address is passed to SendGrid to deliver the emails.

The list is used only for the emails you asked for: one when the book is available, and occasional updates about your chosen interests only if you ticked that box. Nothing is sent to the list until you confirm your address from the confirmation email, and this is not an order or a reservation.

Every email has an unsubscribe link, which stops all email from the list or, if you prefer, only the optional updates. After unsubscribing, the record is kept marked as unsubscribed so that no further email is sent to that address. To have it deleted altogether, write to the contact address below.

To limit abuse, the site counts sign-ups from each connection for a short time under a one-way code made from your IP address, never the address itself. These counts are deleted automatically.

Your light or dark setting

If you choose the light or dark theme, your browser saves that choice in its own local storage so the site can remember it. It stays on your device and is not sent to the site.

Requests to the site

The site is hosted on Google Cloud. As with any website, delivering a page means the hosting service receives the technical details of each request, such as your IP address, your browser type and the page asked for.

Videos

Some pages offer videos from YouTube. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press a Play button: before then the page shows a picture from this site or a plain panel, never one from YouTube. The player then loads in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube's own privacy policy applies. If a player will not play, you can choose to open the same video on YouTube in a new tab, where YouTube's policy also applies.

eBay finds and live listings

Some pages have a box called Pearl Jam finds on eBay. Its links go to eBay searches or listings. If you follow one, you leave this site, and eBay may use cookies to record that you arrived from here.

The box also shows live eBay listings when the page loads. That loads eBay's script from epnt.ebay.com into the page. Your browser then sends eBay the technical details of its requests, such as your IP address, your browser type, and the page you are on, and eBay's script and the listings it shows may set or read cookies and similar identifiers, including for advertising. What eBay collects and how it uses it are covered by eBay's own privacy and cookie notices.

Homepage tag

A homepage verification tag helps FlexOffers verify this site; it is a meta tag that runs no code and sends no request of its own.

Partner banners and listings

Some pages show partners' own creatives: Viator's banners, drawn by Viator's script (loaded from vtrcdn.com), and Viator's tour cards on the homepage, drawn by Viator's widget (loaded from www.viator.com); Poster Master's, Audio Keeper's, Retrolife's, brkox's, and The Music Stand's banners on some pages, images served by Awin (www.awin1.com); Abracadabra NYC's, Full Compass's, Roxio's, Surfshark's, and TicketNetwork's banners on some pages, images served by CJ's ad servers (dpbolvw.net, lduhtrp.net, ftjcfx.com, tqlkg.com, awltovhc.com); CDandLP's button and banners, images loaded from www.cdandlp.com; and product photos from Abracadabra NYC's shop, loaded from cdn.shopify.com. eBay's banners are served from this site. When a page shows one, your browser sends that partner the technical details of the request, such as your IP address, your browser type, and the page you are on, and the partner's script may set or read cookies. Their own privacy notices apply. You can block third-party scripts or cookies in your browser settings; the rest of the page works without them.

Affiliate links

Some links go to shops, record marketplaces and ticket sites, including Amazon. The terms of use explain affiliate links in full.

If you follow one of these links you leave this site, and the site you arrive at may use cookies to record that you came from here. What it collects is covered by its own privacy notice. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; this site works without them.
