The Trilogy in Order
Both notes say the trilogy was played in order, and in both lists "Alive," "Once" and "Footsteps" stand one after another. The documents spell the venue differently, and ten objects hang with the night's entry on the chronology's page.

On Monday, June 22, 1992, Pearl Jam played the Élysée Montmartre in Paris, France, as the Pearl Jam Concert Chronology spells it; Five Horizons writes Elysée-Montmartre, and neither chronology ties the night to a festival. Of the two chronologies, only the Pearl Jam Concert Chronology names an opening act, Eleven, and neither prints an attendance. Five Horizons brackets 83m on the line below its heading and the house's information file 75m in its own, neither saying what its figure measures. Both lists run the same songs in the same order, and both notes say the trilogy was played in order.
The show
Élysée Montmartre or Elysée-Montmartre
The chronology heads the night Élysée Montmartre, Paris, France, and Five Horizons Elysée-Montmartre, Paris, France, with its bracketed 83m alone on the next line; the house's remaster series file writes Elysee-Montmartre, and no spelling is settled against another. The chronology lists Eleven under opening act, and Five Horizons prints no act line. Neither chronology prints a capacity or mentions a broadcast. Ten objects hang with the night's entry on the chronology's page: an image whose markup title is Ad; two titled Ticket; five images whose markup titles name members of the band, each before a credit; and two untitled links into the chronology's remaster series, a zip and a text file. The chronology's entry ends with a remaster series line that names the band, the date and the city, with an info-file. Five Horizons' entry ends with a line reading Show poster, and none of the ten objects is titled Poster.
The Performance
Both chronologies run "Oceans," "Even Flow," "Why Go," "Jeremy," "State of Love and Trust," "Black," "Alive," "Once," "Footsteps," "Deep," "Leash" and "Porch," then an encore closing with "Garden" and "Rockin' in the Free World." Between "Even Flow" and "Why Go" the chronology prints Improv as an entry of its own, where Five Horizons prints Improv with a label of its own in parentheses, joined to "Why Go" with a slash. After "Porch," Five Horizons joins one more entry with a slash, which the chronology's list does not carry. Both chronologies open the encore with Improv, the chronology as an entry of its own and Five Horizons joined to "Garden" with a slash. Both notes say the trilogy was played in order, and in both lists "Alive," "Once" and "Footsteps" stand one after another.
The Next Step
Vienna, three nights before, is told in An Unusual Jam After Alive. Both chronologies put the next show three nights later, on June 25, in Stockholm; it is told in A Drink From a Shoe.
Recording & sound
What the Record Preserves
The house holds three text files for the night: a ConcertInfo information file, a remaster series file and its fingerprint list. The information file's note is Five Horizons' note, one source with it, and its heading brackets 75m where Five Horizons brackets 83m. Its seventeen numbered items give the songs of both lists in the same order, with no encore marked, and add a labelled improvisation after "Even Flow," an item it calls Crowd Singing after "Porch" and an improvisation before "Garden." It says the recording is complete when measured against Five Horizons' setlist and information, a claim about the recording, not the concert, and it dates the concert's digitizing and clean-up to 11/4/99. The remaster series file gives a source chain that runs through a Sony TCD-D3 and DAT to FLAC, and a lineage from FLAC through WAV and an EQ step to FLAC again; its notes report level fluctuations smoothed, the sound equalised for tonal balance and the volume boosted. Its nineteen tracks give the songs of both lists in order, with an intro, two numbered improv jams, an encore break and an outro, and it dates its compilation November 2020 and credits a compiler; the fingerprint file lists nineteen FLAC files named as the tracks are. Paris comes down to one venue the documents spell differently, an opening act that of the two chronologies only the first prints, an 83m in Five Horizons and a 75m in the information file, neither explained, one order of songs marked differently in three places, a trilogy both notes say was played in order, ten objects under the date, and three house files, two of them from the remaster series.
