A Cold at the Paradiso
The house's information file for the night gives "Even Flow" two items, the first marked as a false start. Its copy of Five Horizons' heading brackets 60m where Five Horizons brackets 48m, without saying what either figure measures.

On Sunday, July 18, 1993, Pearl Jam played the Paradiso in Amsterdam, which both chronologies head by that name. The Pearl Jam Concert Chronology's attendance line reads 500 and its note puts the tickets distributed at 1 000 and those let in at 500, while Five Horizons' attendance line gives 1,000 tickets distributed and 500 allowed inside. Both lists run nine entries from "Indifference" to "Porch," and both notes call the show "secret," the word in quotation marks, and say the singer had a cold. Of the two chronologies, only the Pearl Jam Concert Chronology says "Even Flow" was stopped and started again over a technical problem.
The show
The Paradiso
Both chronologies name the venue Paradiso and the city Amsterdam, the Pearl Jam Concert Chronology placing it in the Netherlands and Five Horizons in Holland, and Five Horizons brackets 48m after its heading without stating what it measures. Tribe After Tribe stands on the chronology's opening act line and on Five Horizons' support act line. Neither entry prints a capacity, a show time or a ticket price.
The Performance
Both chronologies run "Indifference," "Even Flow," "Glorified G," "Daughter," "Black," "Why Go," "Hard to Imagine," "Jeremy" and "Porch," with no encore line in either. The chronology sets "Hard to Imagine" in parentheses, where Five Horizons follows it with teaser in parentheses, and Five Horizons marks "Even Flow" as a song stopped where the chronology's entry is plain. The chronology's note says "Even Flow" was stopped and started again over a technical problem, which Five Horizons' note does not mention. Both notes tell the rest alike: an unusual opening with "Indifference," vocal trouble for the singer during "Daughter," which both explain by a cold, a short halt when he left the stage after "Why Go," and two more long songs with little singing before the band apologised and the show ended.
The Next Step
The second Rotterdam night, the night before, is told in Angie and a Drum Solo. The Pearl Jam Concert Chronology follows this night with the heading Canadian Tour - 1993, and both chronologies put the next show twenty-four days later, on August 11, at the Max Bell Arena in Calgary; it is told in Magic Despite the Sound.

What the Record Preserves
Three objects hang with the night's entry on the chronology's page: an image whose markup title is Setlist and two whose markup titles name Eddie Vedder, the first of them with a credit. Two more follow them, whose markup titles read Canadien Tour - 1993 and whose file names describe the front and back of a backstage pass for the Canadian tour, with no mention of this night. Who is pictured is the chronology's identification in its markup. The chronology's entry has no remaster series line, and none of the three objects, nor the two that follow them, links into that series. The house holds one text file for the night, a ConcertInfo information file. Its first line is Five Horizons' heading with 60m in brackets where Five Horizons brackets 48m, without saying what either figure measures, and its notes are Five Horizons' word for word, one source with it. Its ten numbered items run in the chronologies' order with "Even Flow" twice, the first marked as a false start, and they add teaser to "Hard to Imagine" and mark "Porch" with its end snipped. It calls the recording complete except for a part of "Porch" that it says is missing, measured against Five Horizons' setlist and information, a claim about the recording, not the concert. The file puts the concert's digitizing and clean-up on 3/11/00. Amsterdam comes down to one room both chronologies name alike, 500 let in against 1 000 tickets distributed by both chronologies' figures, nine entries in one order, one account in both notes of a cold and an apology, three objects under the night's heading and two tour passes after them, and an information file that repeats Five Horizons.
