A Haunting Tag in Denton
The Pearl Jam Concert Chronology singles out the tag of "Footsteps" within "Daughter" as particularly haunting, and says much of the band's banter turned on being in Texas. Five Horizons adds "Happy Birthday" to its list, and the house's information file calls its recording complete.

On Thursday, November 11, 1993, Pearl Jam played Denton, at the venue the Pearl Jam Concert Chronology heads as the UNT Coliseum and Five Horizons as the University of North Texas Coliseum, Super Pit. The chronology prints an attendance of 6 100 (sold out), where Five Horizons prints none, and both name Butthole Surfers as the one act on their bill lines. The chronology prints nineteen entries over a setlist line and two encore lines, and Five Horizons twenty on one set line, adding "Happy Birthday." The two notes share one account in nearly the same words, and of the two chronologies only Five Horizons adds a tag in "Why Go" and an exchange that it calls very funny.
The show
The Coliseum in Denton
Five Horizons brackets 100m after its heading without stating what it measures, and the house's information file names the venue as Five Horizons does. Neither chronology's entry prints a capacity, a show time or a ticket price.
The Performance
The chronology's setlist line runs fourteen entries from "Go" and "Animal" to "State of Love and Trust" and "Once," the eighth joining "Daughter" to "Footsteps" in parentheses; its first encore line holds "Glorified G," "Garden" and "Porch," and its second "Leash" and "Yellow Ledbetter." Five Horizons prints no encore line: its one set line gives the same entries in the same order and adds "Happy Birthday" between "Once" and "Glorified G," twenty in all. Neither chronology prints a soundcheck. The chronology's note says much of the band's banter turned on being in Texas. It quotes what the singer said to open "Deep" and before "Jeremy," and it singles out the tag of "Footsteps" within "Daughter" as particularly haunting. Halfway through the show, it says, he addressed the crowd sarcastically, in words it also quotes. Five Horizons' notes say "Why Go" carried a "No Attention" tag, with the Sex Pistols named beside it, then give the chronology's account in nearly the same words, with Ed for Eddie. They then set out, as nine lines of dialogue, an exchange that they call very funny, and of the two chronologies only Five Horizons prints it.
The Next Step
Albuquerque, two nights earlier, is told in Another Sold-Out Show in Albuquerque. Both chronologies put the next show the following night, November 12, at Moody Coliseum, which the Pearl Jam Concert Chronology places in University Park and Five Horizons in Dallas; it is told in Angel on the Drum Riser.

What the Record Preserves
Five Horizons ends its entry with a line reading tour poster. The chronology's page links six objects under the night's heading: images whose markup titles read Ticket and, before a credit, Setlist, and two untitled PDFs whose file names carry review and review2, each with an untitled image named the same. The house holds one text file for the night, an information file. It gives a time of 1:40:25, a quality of A, a source chain from DAT through CDR to MP3 and an encoding rate it prints as 160kps, but no track list. It calls the recording complete, a claim about the recording, not the concert. Denton comes down to a coliseum named two ways, one attendance line marked sold out, one act on both bill lines, nineteen entries against twenty over "Happy Birthday," one account in both notes to which Five Horizons adds a tag and an exchange, six objects and one information file.
