L7 on Rockin' in the Free World
The Pearl Jam Concert Chronology's note has L7 joining Pearl Jam for "Rockin' In The Free World" once Neil had gone, and calls it absolutely amazing. The chronology sets "Act Of Love" in parentheses as an entry of its own, where Five Horizons marks it teaser.

On Sunday, January 15, 1995, Pearl Jam played the second of the benefit's two shows in Washington, D.C., at the hall the Pearl Jam Concert Chronology heads as DAR Constitution Hall and Five Horizons as Constitution Hall. Both chronologies set Voters for Choice in parentheses with the night, the Pearl Jam Concert Chronology adding the word Benefit. The chronology's attendance line reads 3 000 (sold out) and its opening acts line names Neil Young & Crazy Horse and L7, while Five Horizons' attendance line reads 3,700 and its support acts line names Lisa Germano, L7 and Neil Young. Both list twenty-one entries in one order, from "Release" to "Rockin' In The Free World," and both notes say Neil left before the show was over and that L7 joined the band.
The show
The Benefit's Second Show
Five Horizons brackets 106m after its heading without stating what it measures, and the Pearl Jam Concert Chronology's heading carries no figure. Neither chronology's entry prints a capacity, a show time or a ticket price.
The Performance
The chronology's setlist runs seventeen entries from "Release" and "Go" to "Blood" and "Porch," with "Act Of Love" thirteenth, in parentheses as an entry of its own between "Rearviewmirror" and "Immortality." Its encore line holds "Better Man," "Spin The Black Circle," "Indifference" and "Rockin' In The Free World." Five Horizons' set and encore lines give the same songs in the same order, but print "Act of Love" with the word teaser in parentheses after it, and neither chronology says what its mark means. The chronology's note says Neil left before the show was over, so L7 joined Pearl Jam for "Rockin' In The Free World," and it calls that absolutely amazing. Five Horizons' note tells of Neil leaving before the end and of L7 joining the band too. Both notes add that Eddie, whom Five Horizons calls Ed, said Neil would get a tape of the show from him.
The Next Step
The first of the benefit's two shows, the night before at the same hall, is told in Act of Love with Neil Young. Seattle, 21 days later, at the Moore Theatre, which Five Horizons spells Theater, is told in Two Encores for the Fan Club.
Recording & sound
What the Record Preserves
The chronology's entry ends with a remaster series line, marked new, that names the band, the date and Washington DC, and Five Horizons' with a line naming a Voters for Choice pin and one reading fan club mailing, and it does not say what either refers to. Five objects hang with the night's entry on the chronology's page: the images whose markup titles read Voters For Choice - Poster - 1995 and Voters For Choice - Ad - 1995, which hang under the previous night's heading too, an image titled Ticket and two untitled links into its remaster series. The house holds no text file for the night. January 15 in Washington comes down to the benefit's second show at one hall named two ways, two attendance figures, two bill lines that part over Crazy Horse and Lisa Germano, twenty-one entries in one order with "Act Of Love" marked two ways, notes that tell of L7 joining the band after Neil left, five objects and no house file.
