Jeff's Water Bottle in Melbourne
During "I Got Id," the Pearl Jam Concert Chronology's note says, a fan jumped onto the stage out of the pit, took Jeff's water bottle, ran back, and dove into the crowd. The chronology lists 13 000 (sold out), compared with Five Horizons' 10,000.

On Thursday, March 16, 1995, Pearl Jam played the Flinders Park Tennis Centre in Melbourne, Australia, which both chronologies name the same. The Pearl Jam Concert Chronology's attendance line reads 13 000 (sold out), and Five Horizons' reads 10,000, and both name The Meanies, the chronology as the opening act and Five Horizons as the support act. Each chronology gives twenty-four entries: nineteen on its set line and five in its encore. The chronology's note tells of a fan who jumped onto the stage and took Jeff's water bottle, of the first full performance of "I Got You," and of Dave Grohl playing drums on "Sonic Reducer."
The show
At Flinders Park
Both chronologies head the night at the Flinders Park Tennis Centre in Melbourne, and Five Horizons brackets 115m after its heading without stating what it measures. The two attendance lines differ: 13 000 (sold out) in the chronology and 10,000 in Five Horizons, and of the two chronologies, only the Pearl Jam Concert Chronology marks the night sold out. Neither chronology's entry prints a capacity, a door or stage time, a ticket price, or a promoter.
The Performance
The Pearl Jam Concert Chronology's setlist runs nineteen entries: "Oceans," "Last Exit," "Spin The Black Circle," "Tremor Christ," "Not For You," "Elderly Woman," which it follows with three dots, "Corduroy," "Animal," "Dissident," "Even Flow," "Deep," "Jeremy," "Go," "Daughter," joined by a slash to a label, then "Whipping," "I Got Id," "Rearviewmirror," "Alive," and "Blood." Its encore runs "Lukin," "I Got You," "Immortality," "Porch," and "Sonic Reducer," twenty-four entries in all. Five Horizons' set line gives nineteen entries, from "Oceans" to "Blood," and its encore line gives five, from "Lukin" to "Sonic Reducer." The Pearl Jam Concert Chronology's note says that the crowd rushed the pit and that security got rough, and that the security staff were fired after the show; Five Horizons' note says the same. The chronology's note says that Eddie got the crowd yelling while, it adds in parentheses, Stone had a technical problem, and Five Horizons' note says the same about Ed. During "I Got Id," the chronology's note says, a fan jumped up onto the stage out of the pit, took Jeff's water bottle, ran back, and dove into the crowd. The chronology's note says the night saw the first full performance of "I Got You." It also says that Dave Grohl played drums on "Sonic Reducer."
The Next Step
Exhibition Park in Canberra, two days earlier, is told in Something Fairly Local in Canberra. Both chronologies put the next show the following night, March 17, in Melbourne; it is told in Dave Grohl at Flinders Park.
Recording & sound
What the Record Preserves
Three objects hang with the night's entry on the chronology's page: an untitled link to a PDF file, an untitled image file of the same name, and an image whose markup title reads Ticket. The house holds no text file for the night, and neither chronology's entry names a recording of it. March 16 at Flinders Park comes down to one tennis centre named alike, 13 000 (sold out) against 10,000, The Meanies on both bill lines, twenty-four entries in each chronology, notes that share the crowd yelling while Stone had a technical problem, the chronology's fan with Jeff's water bottle, its first full "I Got You" and Dave Grohl on "Sonic Reducer," three objects under the date, and no house file.
