Mike Watt's Song in Brisbane
Both chronologies' notes call "Against The 70's" Mike Watt's song and say that Pearl Jam never played it at a concert before or after. The house's remaster series information file gives the night twenty-eight numbered labels, and its fingerprint list adds a third encore break that the information file does not list.

On Wednesday, March 22, 1995, Pearl Jam played again in Brisbane, at the venue that the Pearl Jam Concert Chronology heads as the Brisbane Entertainment Centre and Five Horizons as the Entertainment Centre. Five Horizons' attendance line reads 15,000, where the chronology prints none, and The Meanies fill both bill lines, the chronology's opening act line and Five Horizons' support act line. The chronology's setlist runs sixteen entries from "Oceans" to "Black," and its two encores add six and three, twenty-five entries in all, where Five Horizons gives twenty-four. Both notes praise the night's setlist and its versions of the songs, and both tell of Dave Grohl joining on drums.
The show
The Same Centre, the Next Night
Both headings place the night in Brisbane, Australia, and the house's information file gives the venue as the Entertainment Centre, with its city and country. Five Horizons brackets 130m after its heading without stating what it measures, and the Pearl Jam Concert Chronology's heading carries no figure. Of the two chronologies, only Five Horizons prints an attendance line for the night, and it reads 15,000 with no sold-out mark. Neither chronology's entry gives a capacity, a door or stage time, a ticket price, a promoter, or the way tickets were sold.
The Performance
The Pearl Jam Concert Chronology's setlist runs sixteen entries: "Oceans," "Last Exit," "Corduroy," "Not For You," "Tremor Christ," "Animal," "Dissident," "Go," "Daughter," "Deep," "Jeremy," "Footsteps," "Rearviewmirror," "Immortality," "Alive," and "Black." Its first encore holds "Blood," "State Of Love And Trust," "Whipping," "I Got You," "Better Man," and "Porch," and its second "Against The 70's," "Sonic Reducer," and "Indifference," twenty-five entries across the three lines. Five Horizons' set line gives sixteen entries, its first encore line five, and its second three, twenty-four in all. Five Horizons' set line closes with "Blood," which the chronology sets at the head of its first encore. The Pearl Jam Concert Chronology's note says that the pit crowd, too tightly packed, lifted the seats and carried them to the rear of the hall, and Five Horizons' note says the same. Both notes call "Against The 70's" Mike Watt's song and say that Pearl Jam never played it at a concert before or after. Both also say that Dave Grohl joined on drums and stayed on for "Sonic Reducer." Both notes say that Mike played wildly and inventively through a long jam in "Porch." Five Horizons' note calls the night's "I Got You" a full version. Both notes praise the setlist and call the versions wonderful.
The Next Step
Brisbane, the night before, at the same venue, is told in Two Question Marks in Brisbane. Both chronologies head March 24, two days later, in Auckland; it is told in Neil and Tim Finn in Auckland.
Recording & sound
What the Record Preserves
The chronology closes its entry with a remaster series line naming the band, the date, and Brisbane, with an info-file link after it. Three objects hang under the night's heading on the chronology's page: an image whose markup title reads Ticket and two untitled links into the remaster series, one to a zip archive and one to a text file. The house holds four text files for the night: the remaster series' information file and its fingerprint list, in each of two folders, the second pair a byte-for-byte copy of the first. The information file's first three lines give the band, the date, and the venue with its city and country. The file's source line starts from Sony equipment and ends in FLAC files, and its lineage line starts from FLAC files and ends the same way. The file's notes say that changes in volume were smoothed, the sound equalized for tonal balance, and the volume raised. Its twenty-eight numbered labels run an Intro, then sixteen in the order of the chronology's setlist from "Oceans" to "Black," then an encore break, "Blood," and five more to "Porch," then a second encore break and three from "Against the 70's" to "Indifference." The fingerprint list pairs each of twenty-nine FLAC file names with a checksum, and its names follow the information file's labels to "Sonic Reducer," then add, before "Indifference," a third encore break that the information file does not list. The information file and the fingerprint list name no recordist, and they give no length for the recording. Brisbane on March 22 comes down, in these documents, to the same centre named two ways, 130m that Five Horizons brackets without saying what it measures, an attendance of 15,000 that of the two chronologies only Five Horizons prints, The Meanies on both bill lines, twenty-five entries against twenty-four with "Blood" placed two ways, notes that share Mike Watt's song and Dave Grohl on drums, three objects, and a house information file of twenty-eight labels.
