Long Road Premiered in Casper
Both notes say that after "Alive" a kid's baseball cap landed on the stage, and that Eddie pushed it inside his trousers and then threw it back to its owner. The Pearl Jam Concert Chronology's note says the band sold out the Events Center in record time while boycotting Ticketmaster.

On Friday, June 16, 1995, Pearl Jam played in Casper, Wyoming, at the Casper Events Center, the venue both chronologies print in their headings. The Pearl Jam Concert Chronology gives an attendance of 9 200 and marks the night sold out, and Five Horizons gives 9,200 with no status. The two chronologies print the bill differently: the chronology's opening acts line names Bad Religion, then Scallywags, and Five Horizons' support act line names Scollywags and Bad Religion. The chronology's setlist runs eighteen entries from "Long Road" to "Blood," and its encore four more, from "Rearviewmirror" to "Porch," twenty-two in all. Both notes say "Long Road" was premiered at this show, and both tie the start of the tour's Monkeywrench Radio broadcasts to the night.
The show
The Casper Events Center
Both chronologies head the night at the Casper Events Center in Casper, Wyoming, and Five Horizons brackets 105m after its heading without stating what it measures. The Pearl Jam Concert Chronology's note says the band sold the venue out in record time in spite of its boycott of Ticketmaster. Five Horizons' note opens by saying that the date was first scheduled elsewhere. Neither chronology's entry gives a capacity, a door or stage time, a ticket price, or a promoter.
The Performance
The chronology's soundcheck line lists five entries, Improv, "Elderly Woman," which it follows with three dots, "I Got Id," Improv again, and "Porch," and Five Horizons' soundcheck line gives three. The chronology's setlist runs "Long Road," "Corduroy," "Spin The Black Circle," "Last Exit," "Tremor Christ," "Animal," "Why Go," "Jeremy," "Better Man," "Lukin," "Not For You," "Whipping," "Glorified G," "Daughter," "Go," "Alive," "Immortality," and "Blood." Its encore line holds "Rearviewmirror," "Dissident," "Yellow Ledbetter," and "Porch." Five Horizons' set line gives the same eighteen entries in the same order, and its encore line the same four. Both notes say "Long Road" was premiered at this show. The chronology's note gives "Why Go" a long drum intro, and Five Horizons' note calls its drum intro new. Both notes say that after "Alive" a kid's baseball cap landed on the stage, and that Eddie turned his back, undid his trousers, pushed the cap inside them, took it out again, and threw it back to its owner. Both notes tie the start of the tour's Monkeywrench Radio broadcasts to this show, the chronology calling it the first show Monkeywrench Radio broadcast on the tour and Five Horizons saying the after-show broadcasts began after this concert. Both add that Eddie played some of his favorites and took phone calls, after the show in the chronology's account.
The Next Step
The night of March 25, 1995, eighty-three days earlier, is told in The Tour's Last Show in Auckland. Morrison, Colorado, three days later, on June 19, is told in An Old Bike at Red Rocks.
Recording & sound
What the Record Preserves
The chronology's entry closes on a remaster series line for the night, which gives the band, the date, and Casper, with a link label for an information file. Five Horizons' entry closes with three lines that read as links: a setlist scan, Monkeywrench, and a radio link. Nine objects hang under the night's heading on the chronology's page: two images whose markup titles read Setlist and Encore, one whose markup title reads Monkeywrench Radio ad, two untitled links to PDF files, two untitled images, and two untitled links into the chronology's remaster series, one to a zip file and one to a text file. The house holds four text files for the night: the remaster series' information file with its fingerprint list, each in two identical copies of one folder. The information file's first three lines give the band, the date, and the Events Center with its city and state. Its lineage line starts from CDR and ends in FLAC files. Its notes line says the sound was equalized for tonal balance and the volume raised. Its twenty-four numbered labels begin with an Intro, keep the chronology's setlist order from "Long Road" to "Blood," and then mark an encore break before "Rearviewmirror," "Dissident," "Yellow Ledbetter," and "Porch." The fingerprint list gives one line to each of twenty-four FLAC files, named as the labels are. Casper comes down, in these documents, to one venue named alike, 105m that Five Horizons brackets without saying what it measures, an attendance of 9 200 in the chronology and 9,200 in Five Horizons, a bill in two orders and spellings, soundchecks of five and three entries, twenty-two set entries that both chronologies print in one order, notes that agree on the premiere of "Long Road," the cap, and the radio broadcasts and part over the drum intro to "Why Go," nine objects, and four house files in two copies of one folder.
