The First Rescheduled Date in Phoenix
The Pearl Jam Concert Chronology's note gives the night as the first date among shows that were rescheduled, and Five Horizons' note gives it as the first of them. Both notes say Eddie announced that taping of the band's shows is permitted, and the chronology's note puts the announcement before "Yellow Ledbetter."

On Wednesday, September 13, 1995, Pearl Jam played Phoenix, Arizona, at the venue the Pearl Jam Concert Chronology heads as the Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum and Five Horizons as the Veterans Coliseum. The chronology gives an attendance of 14 000 and marks the show sold out, and Five Horizons gives 14,000 with no status. The Ramones stand on both bill lines, as Ramones on the chronology's opening act line and as The Ramones on Five Horizons' support act line. The chronology prints nineteen entries in its setlist, five in a first encore and one in a second, twenty-five in all, while Five Horizons gives eighteen on its set line, five on its first encore line and one on its second, twenty-four in all.
The show
One Coliseum, Two Names
The chronology's note opens by giving the night as the first date among shows that were rescheduled, and Five Horizons' note opens by giving it as the first of them. The house's information file gives the venue in Five Horizons' form, with the city and state, on its third line. Five Horizons brackets 130m after its heading without stating what it measures, and the chronology's heading carries no figure. Neither chronology's entry gives a capacity, a door or stage time, a ticket price, a promoter, or an earlier date for the rescheduled shows.
The Performance
The chronology's setlist runs "Go," "Animal," "Last Exit," "Spin The Black Circle," "Tremor Christ," "Corduroy," "Lukin," "Elderly Woman," "Whipping," "Dissident," "Glorified G," "Daughter," "Habit," an entry it prints as Improv, "Rearviewmirror," "Immortality," "Alive," "Black," and "Blood." The chronology's first encore holds "Not For You," "I Got Id," "Better Man," a second Improv, and "Porch," and its second encore holds "Yellow Ledbetter." Five Horizons' set line gives eighteen entries in the chronology's order as far as "Habit," and between "Habit" and "Immortality" the chronology prints two entries, Improv and "Rearviewmirror," where Five Horizons prints one. Five Horizons' first encore line holds five entries, from "Not for You" to "Porch," and its second "Yellow Ledbetter." These entries take different forms: "Spin The Black Circle" in the chronology against "Spin the Black Circle" in Five Horizons, and "Elderly Woman" with an ellipsis after it in the chronology and without one in Five Horizons. Both notes say Eddie, whom Five Horizons calls Ed, announced that taping of Pearl Jam's shows is permitted, and the chronology's note has it come before the closing "Yellow Ledbetter."
The Next Step
Chicago, sixty-four days earlier, on July 11, is told in Brendan O'Brien at Soldier Field. Both chronologies put the next show the following night, September 14, at the Pan American Center in Las Cruces; it is told in A Funky Satan's Bed in Las Cruces.

What the Record Preserves
The chronology's entry ends with a remaster series line that names the band, the date and Phoenix and carries the label info-file. Five Horizons' entry closes with three short lines that read as link labels of its page: setlist scan, Monkeywrench and Radio link. Seven objects hang under the night's heading on the chronology's page: four images, among them two whose markup titles read Setlist and Ticket, a link to a PDF file, and two links into the chronology's remaster series, one to a zip file and one to a text file. The house holds six files for the night: the remaster series' information file and its fingerprint list, each in two identical copies, and two playlist files. The information file opens with three lines naming the band, the date, and the coliseum with its city and state. Its sources field prints two lettered source lines, the first ending with CDR and the second running from Core Sounds to SHN, and its lineage line runs from CDR/SHN to FLAC, as the file prints that line. Two mix lines follow: the first gives the mix's left channel as source a's right, with the start of the intro and the first encore break taken from source b's left, and the second gives the mix's right as source b's right. The file's notes list the smoothing of fluctuations in volume, equalizing for tonal balance, the removal of loud claps, and a boost in volume. The information file's twenty-eight numbered labels open with Intro and run from "Go" to "Blood," with Improv Jam 1 between "Habit" and "Rearviewmirror," and two encore groups follow, each opening with an Encore Break label, the first running from "Not for You" to "Porch" and the second giving "Yellow Ledbetter." The fingerprint list gives each of twenty-eight FLAC file names a value, and its names are the twenty-eight labels. The two playlist files name twenty-five MP3 files between them, fourteen in the first, from "Go" to Instrumental Jam, and eleven in the second, from "Rearviewmirror" to "Yellow Ledbetter," and the two files list no intro and no encore break. The information file, the fingerprint list and the playlist files name no recordist and give no length for the recording. Phoenix on September 13 comes down to one coliseum named two ways, 130m that Five Horizons brackets without saying what it measures, an attendance of 14 000 in the chronology and 14,000 in Five Horizons, the Ramones on both bill lines, twenty-five entries against twenty-four, two notes that place the night first among shows that were rescheduled, seven objects, and six house files.
