Release in Complete Darkness at Wembley
Both notes say the night opened with "Release" in complete darkness. Both notes say Eddie threw his harmonica into the crowd once "Smile" was over.

On Tuesday, October 29, 1996, Pearl Jam played a second night at Wembley Arena in London, England, and both chronologies head the night as they did the one before. Five Horizons again gives an attendance of 11,000, the chronology's opening act line again names Fastbacks, and Five Horizons' support act line again names The Fastbacks. Both chronologies give the main set in one order, a first encore of five entries, and a second of two. Both notes say the show seemed better still than the one in London the night before, with the band on form and in good spirits, and the setlist and the crowd both good.
The show
Wembley Again
The two headings name the venue and the place as they did the night before, Wembley Arena in London, England. Five Horizons brackets 110m after its heading without stating what it measures.
The Performance
The chronology's setlist runs "Release," "Last Exit," "Animal," "Hail Hail," "Go," "Sometimes," "In My Tree," "Corduroy," "Better Man," "Even Flow," "Daughter," "Footsteps," "Jeremy," "Lukin," "Rearviewmirror," "Immortality," and "Alive." Its first encore holds "Habit," "I Got Id," "Once," "State Of Love And Trust," and "Present Tense," and its second "Smile" and "Yellow Ledbetter." Five Horizons' set line gives the same entries in the chronology's order, its first encore line five entries in the same order, and its second the same two. Both notes say the night opened with "Release" in complete darkness. Both notes praise Jeff and Eddie on "Footsteps" and call "Rearviewmirror" lively. Both notes say Mike was in great form and went wild in his solos on "Corduroy" and "Yellow Ledbetter." Both notes say "Smile" got its second performance of the tour, call the version very pretty, and say Eddie threw his harmonica into the crowd when the song ended.
The Next Step
London, the night before, at the same arena, is told in A First Live Performance of Smile at Wembley.

What the Record Preserves
Under the night's heading the chronology's page hangs an image whose markup title reads Ticket and three more images. Wembley Arena on October 29 comes down to the headings of the night before, 110m that Five Horizons brackets without saying what it measures, an attendance of 11,000 in Five Horizons, one act on both bill lines, a set and two encores in one order in both chronologies, an opening "Release" in complete darkness in both notes, and the objects under the date.
