Long Road into Sometimes in Istanbul
Both notes say that in Istanbul "Long Road" led straight into "Sometimes," in a way they call unique. Five Horizons' set lines join the two songs in one entry, where the chronology gives each its own.

On Tuesday, November 19, 1996, Pearl Jam played in Istanbul, Turkey, at the venue that the Pearl Jam Concert Chronology heads as the Istanbul World Trade Center and Five Horizons as the World Trade Center. The chronology gives an attendance of 12 000 and Five Horizons one of 4,000, and the chronology's opening act line names Fastbacks, where Five Horizons' support act line names The Fastbacks. The chronology prints eighteen entries in its setlist and five in its encore, and Five Horizons gives seventeen on its set lines and five on a line it calls enc.
The show
The Venue in Istanbul
Both headings give the place as Istanbul, Turkey. Five Horizons brackets 110m after its heading without stating what it measures.
The Performance
The chronology's setlist runs "Release," "Last Exit," "Hail Hail," "Animal," "Tremor Christ," "In My Tree," "Corduroy," "Elderly Woman," which it follows with three dots, "Habit," "Even Flow," "Daughter," "Jeremy," "Long Road," "Sometimes," "Rearviewmirror," "Better Man," "Alive," and "Blood." Its encore holds "Who You Are," "State Of Love And Trust," "Once," "Smile," and "Porch." Five Horizons' set lines give seventeen entries in the same order, with "Long Road" and "Sometimes" sharing one entry, and its enc line gives the same five entries as the chronology's encore. Both notes call the show rather low-key, with little give and take between band and audience. Both notes say that after "In My Tree" a fan had got onto the stage. Both notes say that "Long Road" led straight into "Sometimes," in a way they call unique.
The Next Step
Budapest, two days earlier, is told in A First Live Performance of Black, Red, Yellow in Budapest. Both chronologies put the next show two days later, on November 21, in Barcelona; it is told in Parting Ways at the Barcelona Soundcheck.

What the Record Preserves
Five Horizons' entry closes with three short lines that read as link labels of its page: main setlist scan, encore setlist scan, and poster. Under the night's heading the chronology's page hangs six objects: an image whose markup title reads Setlist, one whose markup title reads Encore, and four more images. The house holds one text file for the night, which repeats Five Horizons' heading and note, numbers twenty-three labels from "Release" to "Porch," and after them calls the recording complete when set against the setlist, as its own statement about the recording. Istanbul on November 19 comes down to one venue under a longer and a shorter name, 110m that Five Horizons brackets without saying what it measures, an attendance of 12 000 in the chronology and 4,000 in Five Horizons, one act on both bill lines, eighteen setlist entries in the chronology and seventeen in Five Horizons, a "Long Road" that both notes say led straight into "Sometimes," six objects under the date, and one house text file.
