From Long Road to Yellow Ledbetter in Oakland
In Oakland on November 15 the Pearl Jam Concert Chronology's setlist opens with "Long Road" and ends with "Yellow Ledbetter." Five Horizons' set line follows the same order.

On Saturday, November 15, 1997, Pearl Jam played Oakland Stadium in Oakland, a venue both chronologies name alike. Both chronologies print a supporting line that names The Rolling Stones. The chronology prints a setlist of fourteen entries.
The show
The Stadium the Next Night
Both headings give the place as Oakland, CA, and the Pearl Jam Concert Chronology's heading adds USA to it. Five Horizons brackets 60m after its heading without stating what it measures. The Pearl Jam Concert Chronology gives an attendance of 60 000 and marks the show sold out.
The Performance
Five Horizons prints a soundcheck line for the night. The chronology's setlist runs "Long Road," "Last Exit," "Animal," "Hail Hail," "Even Flow," "Jeremy," "Brain Of J.," "Daughter," "Corduroy," "Wishlist," "Better Man," "Do The Evolution," "Alive," and "Yellow Ledbetter." Five Horizons' set line follows the same order. Both notes find the band much more confident, with Stone marching again and Eddie far happier, looser, and chattier, coming forward to the front. Both notes say Eddie changed the words of "Animal." Both notes say that "Brain Of J." rocked and that during "Daughter" Eddie brought out the maracas. Both notes say the band had little room to move on a stage that was blocked off, and still judge the performance even better than the night before's.
The Next Step
Oakland, the night before, at the same stadium, is told in The First of Four Shows with the Rolling Stones. Both chronologies put the next show three days later, November 18, again at Oakland Stadium; it is told in Immortality at Oakland Stadium.
Recording & sound
What the Record Preserves
Five Horizons' entry closes with two short lines that read as link labels of its page: review and poster. The chronology's entry ends with a remaster series line that names the band, the date, and Oakland and carries the label info-file. The objects the chronology's page hangs under the night's heading include six images and two links into its remaster series, one to a zip file and one to a text file. The house holds one text file for the night, which numbers fourteen labels from "Long Road" to "Yellow Ledbetter" and after them calls the recording complete when set against the setlist, as its own statement about the recording. Oakland Stadium on November 15 comes down to one venue named alike, 60m that Five Horizons brackets without saying what it measures, The Rolling Stones on both supporting lines, a setlist of fourteen in the chronology from "Long Road" to "Yellow Ledbetter," the objects under the date, and one house text file.
