Wishlist at the Ed Sullivan Theater
Both chronologies give the night a single entry, "Wishlist," and both notes call the song carefully rehearsed.

On Friday, May 1, 1998, Pearl Jam played at the Ed Sullivan Theater, which both chronologies head by that name, the Pearl Jam Concert Chronology placing it in New York City and Five Horizons in New York. Both headings add a parenthesis on the Late Show, the chronology's naming the show and its host, and Five Horizons' calling the night a Late Show appearance. Both notes call it the band's second time on the Late Show and the first with Matt Cameron on drums.
The show
The Ed Sullivan Theater
Five Horizons brackets 5m after its heading without stating what it measures. Its heading gives the date as 05/01/98 and the place as New York, NY, and the Pearl Jam Concert Chronology's gives May 1, 1998, and New York City, NY, USA, as the place.
The Performance
The chronology's setlist line and Five Horizons' set line each hold one entry, "Wishlist." Both notes say the band played "Wishlist," which they call carefully rehearsed, and that Mike again had bleached locks and wore a Goodness shirt. Both notes say the singer's voice sounded wonderful; the chronology calls him Eddie, and Five Horizons calls him Ed. Both notes say the song seemed to be fading out as the singer's own passage ended, until a reprise driven by the drums brought it to a close another way.
The Next Step
March 20, forty-two days earlier, is told in A Last Show for Jack Irons in Perth. Seattle, six days later, on May 7, is told in A First Show with Matt Cameron in Seattle.

What the Record Preserves
One object hangs under the night's heading on the chronology's page, an untitled embed. May 1 at the Ed Sullivan Theater comes down to one theater both chronologies head alike, two parentheses on the Late Show, a bracketed figure, one entry on both lists, notes that agree on the song and on the first time with Matt Cameron on drums, and one untitled embed.
