Bopping Onstage to Introduce the Wallflowers
Both chronologies' notes say Eddie introduced the Wallflowers, bopping onstage. The Pearl Jam Concert Chronology prints an attendance of 20 000+, and Five Horizons prints 25,000.

On Wednesday, July 22, 1998, Pearl Jam played in Seattle, at a stadium that each chronology's heading calls Memorial Stadium. Both chronologies name The Wallflowers and Sean Lennon, the Pearl Jam Concert Chronology on its opening acts line and Five Horizons on its support act line. The chronology's setlist opens with "Last Exit," and both set lines close with "Do The Evolution" and "Porch."
The show
Two Attendance Figures
The two headings give the night as July 22, 1998, Memorial Stadium and Seattle, WA, USA, in the Pearl Jam Concert Chronology, and as 07/22/98, Memorial Stadium and Seattle, WA, in Five Horizons. Five Horizons brackets 120m after its heading without stating what it measures. The chronology's attendance line prints 20 000+, and Five Horizons' prints 25,000. The Wallflowers, both notes say, were introduced by Eddie, who bopped onstage. The chronology's note says the band's two home concerts brought in $500 000, which went to 10 local charities. It names the Seattle Center Skateboard Park among the causes the concert proceeds benefited.
The Performance
Both set lines include, in order, "Animal," "Spin The Black Circle," "Brain Of J.," "Faithfull," "Red Mosquito," "Given To Fly," "MFC," "Habit," "Not For You," "Daughter," "Even Flow," "Off He Goes," "Better Man," "Lukin," "Present Tense," "Mankind," "Alive," "Corduroy," "Hail Hail," "Do The Evolution" and "Porch." Both first encores include, in order, "Wishlist," "Leatherman" and "Leaving Here." Each second encore holds "Yellow Ledbetter."
Both notes say the band absolutely stood and delivered, and that the crowd did likewise. Among the highlights, they say, were the versions of "Faithfull," of "Do The Evolution" and of "Porch." After Stone spoke, both notes say, the band went into "Mankind," which the notes call great.
The Next Step
The night before, July 21, at the same stadium, is told in Free Popsicles at Memorial Stadium. Noblesville, twenty-six days later, on August 17, is told in Stone on Fire at Deer Creek.
Recording & sound
What the Record Preserves
The objects the chronology's page hangs under the night's heading include four images and two untitled links, one to a zip file and one to a text file. The house holds two text files for the night: the remaster series information file and its fingerprint list. The information file opens with four lines that name the band, the date, Memorial Stadium, and the city with its state. Its lineage line starts at FLAC and ends at FLAC, by the file's own account. The information file and its fingerprint list each give the recording's tracks. July 22 in Seattle comes down to one stadium named alike in both chronologies, two attendance figures, The Wallflowers and Sean Lennon on both bills, set lines that close alike, notes on a bopping introduction, the highlights and a great "Mankind," a note on $500 000 for local charities, and two house files.
